The engineer Oreste Becchio completed his studies in 1978 at the Politecnico of Turin with a mechanical degree. He was then quickly hired by the Research and Development team of a famous automotive industry. In said team he worked on designing and prototyping a ventilated double disc hydraulic brake for heavy trucks. In 1980 he opened his own mechanical engineering studio in Caramagna Piemonte.

We believe that our know-how, our top notch commitment, constant attention to details and search of the best possible solution allowed us to extend our working fields from machine design to plant and system design, structural design and energetic design while keeping the "mechanical engineer" mindset in facing the problems of our clients. Being always up to date with the latest trends in the IT and electronics fields allowed the studio to build a rational and efficient approach.

Our jobs, always growing in size and trouble during the last thirty years, allowed us to create a clear view of the issues and rules that are vital for a great mechanical design. We have never stopped to attend shows, courses, classes and fairs - both national and international - to help us build and expand such view.

Our approch starts before the design. We always take due time in examining the existing situation and than pursue the solution step by step. Our design are detailed to the finest level. We provide final drawings of all parts to the selected workshop so that every piece will be built precisaly and to specifications. The foundation of our systems and plants lies in a comprehensive scheme where every part gets its fair share of care.

In order to create the best possible projects we make use of trained and capable technicians, working on professional software on a mix of custom and branded high performance hardware. The office is served by a high quality 1 GB/sec network using professional HP equipment and relies on a HP ProLiant server for storage and work management. All of our work is backed up several time to ensure that nothing will be lost in case of hardware failures.

Our software suite supplied by Autodesk includes, among others, AutoCAD and Inventor Professional. Other softwares are used in structual analysis, such as DOLMENO Win10 for steel and concrete analysis according to italian laws, DOLMEN IS for geotechnical analysis, EdilClima for thermal and energetic analysis according to the local laws. Inventor is used for FEM analysis of both structures and parts and other, more specific, softwares can be used for the most extravagant needs. We have designed, over the years, automated machines of any kind, thermal plants - conventional, steam or superheated water, industrial or clean water supply systems, fire safety systems, air treatment systems, complex piping, chilling systems and many kind of structures. After the final design is delivered we can assist on site and follow the technical aspects of the works. We can do a wide array of analysis during the assembly phase, from planning and managing of time schedules, resources and costs to making as built drawings. We can supply, if needed, electrical specifications related to our work. Our office is a wide open space built in place of and old woodworking workshop that helps to connect all of our employees. The attention to detail of a wood carpenter is still alive in all our jobs.
